Preparing accurate and cost-effective project estimates, analyzing project requirements, and potentially leading a team of estimators

Project Estimation:Preparing detailed cost estimates for various projects, including materials, labor, and other resources.
Bill of Quantities (BOQ):Preparing BOQs, which are detailed lists of materials and quantities required for a project.
Cost Analysis:Analyzing project requirements, identifying potential risks, and developing cost-effective solutions.
Vendor Negotiation:Negotiating with contractors and vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
Team Leadership:Potentially leading and mentoring a team of junior estimators.
Collaboration:Coordinating with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Data Collection and Analysis:Collecting and analyzing data to estimate costs associated with manufacturing a product or project.
Proposal Preparation:Evaluating tenders and preparing proposals (domestic, government, international, etc.).
Cost Target Objectives:Working proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with others.
Financial Accountability:May hold a larger remit in terms of financial accountability than a Cost Estimating Engineer.
